Referral partners

When you send someone, your name rides along.

This page is for the CPAs, advisors, and insurance professionals who send clients here. It explains exactly what happens to the people you refer, so you can send them with confidence.

What happens after you make an introduction.

  1. They get a real answer first.

Your client can run a three-minute screening on the page that matches their question, or come straight to a call. Either way, the first thing they receive is information, not a pitch.

  2. I call when they are ready, not before.

No drip campaigns, no list, no chasing. One conversation, scheduled on their terms.

  3. They get the truth, including “stay put.”

If the right answer is to keep what they have, that is the recommendation they get. Your referral is never used to force a placement.

  4. You hear back.

With your client's permission, you get a short note on where things landed. You will never wonder what happened to someone you sent.

  5. Their information stays theirs.

Nothing is sold, shared, or added to a marketing list. The screening itself runs in their browser until they choose to send it.

The ground rules.

Your client stays your client.

I handle the PEO, benefits, or workers' comp question. Your tax, advisory, or insurance relationship is yours, untouched. I do not offer your services and I do not cross-sell around you.

Your name is handled with care.

The person you send is treated as a reflection of you, because they are one. That standard is the reason this practice runs on referrals.

No surprises in the file.

Anything I recommend is written down, with the reasoning, and your client can share it with you. You will never be blindsided by advice you cannot see.

Referral fit

Who to send.

The best referrals are owner-run businesses, from a few employees to a few hundred, with a question about benefits costs, workers' comp, retirement plans, or whether a PEO fits. The common thread: a renewal coming up, a premium that jumped, or a nagging feeling they are paying for the wrong setup.

If you are not sure whether someone fits, send them anyway. Screening out a bad fit quickly is part of the job, and they will be told kindly and pointed somewhere useful.

How to make the introduction.

01

Email intro.

Copy me and your client on two lines. I take it from there at their pace.

02

Send them a screening link.

Each service page has a three-minute screening. Send the page that matches their question, and tell them to mention your name at the end.

03

Just have them call.

Some people prefer the phone. Tell them to say who sent them, and the conversation starts with context.

Partner arrangements

How thanks works.

YOUR ARRANGEMENT HERE

Some partners want a formal arrangement, some want reciprocity, and some just want their clients looked after properly. All three are honored here. How that works in your case is a two-minute conversation, and it will be in writing.
